85 New Stakes in 2016 and Counting

Managua, Nic: 85 nuevas estacas se han creado en el 2016 en La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos días.

El año 2016 ha sido un año extraordinario para las creaciones de estacas.

Hasta el momento, se han organizado 85 nuevas estacas siendo el mayor número de estacas desde el 1 de enero de 2016.

El desglose geográfico de estas nuevas participaciones es el siguiente: 39 en América del Norte (46%), 16 en África (19%) y 13 en Sudamérica (15 % En América Central 5 (8%), en Oceanía (6%), 4 en Asia (5%) y 1 en Europa (1%). 

Los lugares donde se han organizado las más nuevas apuestas incluyen Arizona (10), Brasil (8), Texas (8), Nigeria (6), Utah (6), Honduras (4), Washington (4), República Democrática del Congo (3) y Ghana (3).

La última vez que la Iglesia organizó tantas nuevas estacas en un solo año fue en 1997 cuando se organizaron 125 nuevas estacas. El crecimiento de estaca es un indicador robusto del "crecimiento real" en la Iglesia SUD, ya que las estacas requieren ciertos requisitos mínimos para operar (por ejemplo, el número de titulares activos del Sacerdocio de Melquisedec [AFTPMP], el número de congregaciones, la proporción de AFTPMP a la iglesia general Membresía, etc.). 

Así, el crecimiento acelerado de la estaca en 2016 constituye un desarrollo notable en relación con el crecimiento de la Iglesia.

Se han  recibido confirmaciones firmes de tres estacas adicionales e informes de nueve estacas adicionales que se organizarán para fines de año. Teniendo en cuenta las tendencias de crecimiento de la estaca hasta ahora en 2016 y los informes de muchas más nuevas estacas que se crearán a finales de año, parece probable que la Iglesia puede crear hasta 100 nuevas estacas en 2016. .
